ABOUT DIG
Sue Elkind and Naime Jezzeny founded DIG Yoga in 2010 with two important goals in mind: providing excellence in yoga education, and creating a sanctuary for community to gather and grow.
DIG's roots are grounded in their 25 years of experience teaching strong, alignment-based hatha yoga, along with the richness of a life-affirming Tantric philosophy.
As a health-conscious, people-oriented yoga business, DIG aims to support students in their quest to realize their greatest potential. The DIG team leads by example, making efforts to model what is ‘life-enhancing’ and shed what is not. We strive for high standards, sweetened with humor and humility, with the intention of continuously evolving. We endeavor to always speak and act in a way that encourages others to remember how interconnected all things are by being kind and considerate of one another and our planet.

nina wong
E-ryt-200
A natural klutz, Nina stumbled (literally, down many stairs) upon her first yoga class in her early 20s. Already self-conscious about her lack of movement experience and now mortified, she considered going home – but is incredibly thankful that she stayed. Her relationship with yoga has evolved and deepened over the years; presently, she approaches it with an eye towards sustainability, and as a means of anchoring in our very real, complicated lives.

Nina aims to cultivate a space where all levels of practitioners can be in deep conversation with their bodies, breath, and the world around them. You can expect nuanced instruction in her classes, emphasizing discernment, compassion, and curiosity - and finding humor in the experiments along the way.
An avowed yoga nerd, Nina has studied in-depth at Dig, and with other experts in anatomy, injury prevention, neuroscience, and physical therapy principles. She is also passionate about accessibility, and trauma-informed, resilience-oriented practices, on and off the mat.
Nina is humbled and grateful to teach in the home of her teachers, Sue and Naime. She appreciates conversations about dogs, nervous system geekery, and recommendations for the best ice cream that New Jersey's river towns have to offer.
